Setting Up Manufacturer Data Feeds
Why Set Up Data Feeds?
ScanIt Parts can pull shipment data, invoices, and order statuses directly from your manufacturer. This lets you:
- See what was shipped before it arrives
- Compare what you scanned vs. what you were invoiced for
- Catch cost differences and quantity mismatches right away
- Run Invoice Reconciliation reports automatically
Setup is a one-time process. Once connected, data flows on its own.
Which Manufacturers Are Supported?
| Manufacturer | Setup Type | Credentials Needed |
|---|---|---|
| GM (GlobalConnect) | Enter credentials in ScanIt Parts | Dealer #, Username, Password |
| Honda | Add in ScanIt Parts + authorize in Honda iN | None in ScanIt Parts |
| Chrysler / Stellantis | Add in ScanIt Parts + PDC adds email | None in ScanIt Parts |
| Mercedes-Benz | Add in ScanIt Parts + PDC adds email | None in ScanIt Parts |
AC Delco & Motorcraft: GM and Ford dealers get automatic daily data pulls for AC Delco and Motorcraft parts. No setup needed. These auto-pulls keep barcode cross-references up to date and cannot be edited or deleted.
How to Set Up Each Manufacturer
GM (GlobalConnect)
- Go to Get Data in the dashboard menu.
- Click Add Manufacturer.
- Select GM GlobalConnect from the Type dropdown.
- Enter your GM GlobalConnect Dealer Number, Username, and Password.
- Click Save Changes.
Important: The GM login you use MUST have access to shipments and invoices in GlobalConnect. If it only has ordering access, data pulls will not work. Check with your GM representative.
Honda
Honda has two parts: add it in ScanIt Parts, then authorize in the Honda iN portal.
Part 1 — In ScanIt Parts:
- Go to Get Data and click Add Manufacturer.
- Select Honda Site from the Type dropdown.
- No username or password needed. Click Save Changes.
Part 2 — In Honda iN:
- Log in to www.in.honda.com.
- Enter your Dealer Number.
- Select iN Plus Realtime.
- Go to the Parts tab.
- Select the Parts Invoice section at the bottom of the screen.
- Select Yes to Activate Parts Invoice. The dropdown should show IPS.
- Click Submit.
Tip: Honda data may take 24 to 48 hours to start flowing after you activate. Don't worry if nothing shows up right away.
Chrysler / Stellantis
- Go to Get Data and click Add Manufacturer.
- Select Chrysler Site from the Type dropdown.
- No username or password needed. Click Save Changes.
- Your Parts Manager must contact the Facing PDC and ask them to add the email: Chrysler@scanitparts.com
Mercedes-Benz
- Go to Get Data and click Add Manufacturer.
- Select Mercedes-Benz Site from the Type dropdown.
- No username or password needed. Click Save Changes.
- Your Parts Manager must contact the Facing PDC and ask them to add the email: mercedesbenz@scanitparts.com
Importing Packing Slips (OEM Data)
You can also import packing slips and invoices manually for reconciliation:
- Go to OEM Data in the dashboard menu.
- Download the packing slip or invoice PDF from your manufacturer's website.
- Drag the file into the OEM Data drop zone on screen.
- A green checkmark means it processed. No checkmark? That format may still be in development — contact support.
After Setup: Managing Your Feeds
Once connected, go to Get Data any time to manage your feeds:
- Force Pull — Pull data right now instead of waiting for the next automatic pull. Good for testing after first setup.
- Edit — Update dealer numbers or login credentials.
- Delete — Remove a manufacturer connection.
Tip: After first-time setup, use Force Pull to confirm data is flowing. If nothing comes back, double-check your credentials (GM) or authorization steps (Honda, Chrysler, Mercedes).
